Naw, I’m not a proponent of the flat tax system at all. The flat tax system ensures that you will be working for someone else no matter what your income level is. I think any tax system takes away freedom, but the government is not self sufficient so someone has to contribute. I’m not saying that I have a better solution to the current system, just that people can make a conscious and legal choice to pay as little taxes as possible under the current system. If everyone earned less and consumed less then perhaps a flat tax need to be enacted because the government will no longer have enough contributors at the top to sustain it.
