I found that most of the teachers directed their teaching at the boys and not me - but it just made me work all the harder. I did pretty good and it didn't put me off studying so I ended up with 10 o levels, 3 a levels, a HNC in Medical Laboratory Science and A BSc Hons Degree in Chemistry, Physics and Computing!! I hope to later go on to study an MSC once my kids have gone to secondary school. I had a tough time at school being the the only nerdy girl in a class of nerdy boys.
