As if people deserve anything. And I don't think "most" people carry that much debt on their credit cards. Our debt is high with our house, cars, and school loans, but our credit cards are much much much lower. The economy goes up and down. That is just reality and if people aren't ready for it then that's their problem. It drives me bonkers that people expect the government to bail them out because they don't plan ahead. Arg! Not the economy, but the entitlement mindset that got many of those people where they are today.
